Positively Littlerock
The "downtown Littlerock" section of Pearblossom Highway hosted a series of temporary, large-scale photomurals on high visibility exterior walls along the roadway. Striking black-and-white portraits, by hometown photographer Austin Lacroix, featured the everyday people who work or own small businesses along the corridor—mechanic, nurseryman, restaurant owner, teacher, shopkeeper, dancer, postal worker, and more—celebrating local history, unearthing individual narratives, and reflecting community identity. A Story Map geolocates pop-ups of the portraits with quotes from interviews collected by the Southeast Antelope Valley Historical Society, along with significant historic locations.
